I read ‘A Very Long Journey’. This is because I think that I want to go on a trip all over the world in the future. During this summer vacation, I went to Kansai area to travel by myself. I wanted to go abroad alone but I have not had any confidence, so I decided to go on a trip alone. This book is written about China. I thought that I want to go to China by reading this book. This is because now that China is the biggest country in the world. It is a place where many migrants come from. If I could go there, I can talk with a lot of foreign people because many foreign people visit China. This book was very interesting and I was interested in China by reading this book.

I read ‘What’s the Time?’ This is because time is the most important things in our life. It seems to me that we people are tied to a schedule. Unfortunately, the time is not stopped. Time is made up of parts, for example there are 60 seconds in a minute, there are 60 minutes in an hour, there are 24 hours in a day and so on. Since I was an elementary school student, I have had a question about time. As soon as we are born in the world, we are tied to a schedule. Time has very strong power for people. Until I read this book, I was not interested in the time at all. However, I was able to have a variety of thinking on the time by reading this book. This book is very useful for us, so I want you to read this book.

Something special I did during vacation

I went to Kansai area to travel by myself for a week. I do not like to act by myself, but I wanted to change myself. I tend to depend on my friends and family immediately and it seemed to me that acting power and patience are lacking for me these days, so I decided to travel alone. During a trip, I couldn’t help but feel isolation and uneasiness. However, most people were very kind to me. Through this trip, I was able to feel sense of accomplishment. I lost my way many times and had hard experience, but it seemed to me that this trip was very useful for me.

Good and bad points about summer

I like summer very much because summer vacation is very long, so I can spend my time on what I really want to do. Moreover, there are a lot of summer festivals and fireworks display in summer. Summer is very hot that we do not have to be heavily clothed. We have only to wear one t-shirt and pants. However, summer have bad point, too. It is so hot that I do not feel like doing anything. Moreover, some people have a poor appetite because of the heat. As summer is approaching, a lot of people are bitten by an insect.

How I study during the vacation

I usually do not use a collection words and I memorize English words by reading a lot of books which are written by English. Until I am accustomed to read an English sentence, I continued to read. I am going to solve a lot of TOEIC problem to be accustom to problem form of it during the vacation. Moreover I want to read a lot of books to acquire knowledge during the vacation. I am very week in listening, so I think I try to listen to a lot of foreign languages. I want to study at least 1 hour every day.

What classes I will take

I will take about ten subjects. I flunked the German language last year, so I am definitely going to take this course. Studying the German language was interesting. However, I flunked it because I was absent or late for this course many times. I want to get the credit this year. Moreover I will take the West philosophy. Since I was a high school student, I have interested in philosophy. I think studying philosophy improves my ability to think logically, moreover philosophy is needed to discuss many newly emerging issues, such as environmental, genetic, an informational issues. Especially I'm looking forward to taking philosophy class.

Vacation plan or vacation preparation

       When I was a free, I was always playing a part time job during the summer vacation last year. As the result, I was able to earn a lot of money. However, I did not study at all and I was not able to spend time effectively, so I think I want to use time effectively during this summer vacation. I plan to go on a trip by myself to train acting power and patience. I do not like acting alone, but I want to go on a trip alone to change myself. I am looking forward to going on a trip by myself.
